013 Poppodium
Since 2017 I’ve been working as a freelance educator for 013 Poppodium in Tilburg, the biggest pop venue in the Netherlands. I give guided tours and presentations, where I talk about the inner workings of 013 and the music industry in general.
The tours and presentations cater to a variety of audiences, including groups of highschoolers, students studying to work in the creative industries and VIP’s. I always adjust my talks to whomever I’m talking to and can explain many aspects of the workings of the music business from a basic up to an in depth, professional level.
About 013
013 is the biggest pop venue in the Netherlands, with two auditoriums accommodating audiences of 3,000 and 700. It organizes approximately 350 concerts and receives around 350.000 visitors every year, receiving renowned national and international artists such as The Prodigy, Lorde, Chance the Rapper and many others.
013 also does a lot of hard work on talent development behind the scenes. They teach their volunteers and interns all the ins and outs of the business. So that, if they want to, they can step up to a job in the cultural sector. They are also open for education in and around their venue and like to work with educators.
