What I’m doing now

Podcast

Since October 2020, I’ve been working on a new project with a, yet to be revealed, partner in crime. Part of this project will be a podcast. We are recording it now. Super excited for this. Soon more.

Sponge

I’ve been reading a lot as of late. About two books a week. I let my curiosity guide me to new material, and I regularly hear the words to the song “a whole new world” echo through my head as I pick up new stuff. Subject matter ranges from storytelling, history and futurism, to psychology, philosophy and ethics, to self-improvement, business and investing. I’m taking copious notes and feel like a sponge taking in new concepts, ideas and insights, trying to connect them all together. It feels amazing.

Empty calender

Last year, when Covid hit, I experienced for the first time what it is like to have a completely empty calendar. This was a revelation. Ever since, I try to keep my schedule as empty as possible and cultivate spontaneity as much as possible. I’m now doing reasonably well, but maintaining its empty state requires constant vigilance.

Unconscious biases project

I’ve started working on a new project for Fontys University. It’s about raising awareness amongst teachers in higher education of their unconscious biases, to help create more equal opportunity for all of its almost 45.000 students. I’m lucky to work together with a group of passionate students and alumni to take this difficult subject on in the upcoming months.
